Taym Al-Furat’s EPC Projects

A RIVER OF SUCCESS STORIES

At Taym Al-Furat, our portfolio of EPC projects serves as a testament to the successful, dedicated efforts we put into our clients’ projects.

Development and Operation of Oil Berth, Khor Al-Zubair Port

It is one of our in-progress latest EPC projects in Iraq, commonly referred to as the Japanese Loan Berth. It is located between berth No. (1) and berth No. (2) within the Khor Al-Zubair Port, and is planned to be 340 meters long and 20 meters wide along the waterfront. Its infrastructure includes 2 iron oil berths (1 of which has a capacity of 5000 cubic meters), connected to one main and another special pumping station.

This is one of our results-driven EPC projects in Iraq. Not only does it include constructing the berth and oil berths, but also installing accessories, electrical and mechanical equipment, loading apparatus, and a dedicated power station to serve specific purposes. Taym Al-Furat also provided operation services for this berth and its oil berths for 12 years.

Port Berth Ship Fenders Project

It is considered a major EPC project in Iraq. We designed, manufactured, and assembled 27 steel structures in the location. Each steel structure measures 3 meters in length, 0.5 meters in width, and 0.25 meters in height. It is constructed from 16-mm-thick metal and outfitted with shock-absorbing rubber sheets.

This project proved Taym Al-Furat to be a goal-oriented EPC company in Iraq. Our workers and engineers faced challenging working conditions and had to expedite the assembly process. To address this, our experienced welders crafted metal accessories that facilitated the process, and crane operators helped control the process above water.

Thanks to Taym Al-Furat’s EPC solutions and skilled individuals, this EPC design project was successfully completed, constructing 9 columns each comprising 3 steel pieces.

Al-Rasheed Gas Plant: Gas Pipelining Project

It is a major pipelining EPC project in terms of sustainability in Iraq. Taym Al-Furat provided Al-Rasheed Gas Plant with an efficient solution for natural gas transportation. We installed 12-inch diameter pipes, a variety of accessories, and manual and automatic valves that operate without electricity. All equipment was carefully inspected and tested to ensure that it met the required standards. We also provided this pipelining EPC project with 2 years of oversight and maintenance after completion.

This pipelining project showcases that Taym Al-Furat embraces remarkable, skilled individuals to make up this advanced EPC company in Iraq. They demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of the Gas Plant requirements, and structured a designed solution that serves one of our core beliefs, sustainability.

Refinery Pumping Stations Project

By implementing its purpose-driven EPC solutions, Taym Al-Furat successfully resolved production disruptions at the refineries of one of the pumping stations. This included the maintenance, repair, and mechanical control of over 70 pumping units. Each unit consisted of at least 2 pumps operating at different pressures and temperatures.

Throughout the project, our engineering team monitored pump performance to detect potential issues that could lead to supply damage and operational disruptions. Such issues included speed variations, vibrations, and excessive temperatures.

Based on their observations, our engineers suggested context-aware solutions. These entailed calibrating and re-aligning pump components, as well as replacing damaged parts as necessary, hence securing the success of this EPC project.

Water Tank EPC Project for Municipal Departments in Baghdad

Taym Al-Furat completed a major EPC project that involved the design and installation of water tank terminals for municipal departments in Baghdad. We crafted detailed maps and plans for the construction of underground reservoirs, each boasting a capacity of 2,126 cubic meters. These tank terminals are 25 meters long, 25 meters wide, and 3.62 meters high.

Taym Al-Furat’s impact on the project was not limited to its design and construction solutions. We also offered technical support by providing 2 different lifts and built a specialized team (a mechanical engineer, a technical manager, multiple technicians, and 2 drivers) responsible for the installation of the water tank terminals.

Kikuk Gas Power Plant Modernization Project: Engineering and Industrial Support

Taym Al-Furat was entrusted by The General Electric Company (GE) to help modernize the Kirkuk Gas Power Plant. This EPC project entailed providing full support to the Baghdad Company for Gas Turbine, where we employed our design expertise and engineering solutions.

Throughout this project, Taym Al-Furat upgraded existing units of the Kirkuk Gas Power Plant by installing a vibration sensor system. In addition, we manufactured need-specific equipment and spare parts to operate the turbine’s main shaft. With high attention to detail, Taym Al-Furat also optimized operation efficiency by precision bearing perforation performed at acute angles.

Fuel Tank Engineering Manufacturing Project for Weatherford International

Truck Modification Project for the Iraqi Republic Railways

In joint efforts with the engineers of the Iraqi Republic Railways Company and the Filipino TLS Contact Company, Taym Al-Furat took on the engineering design project of upgrading existing wagons. We converted 24-meter freight wagons, designed to handle 56-ton loads, into specialized trucks capable of transporting specialized railway machinery and vehicles.

Repair and Modification of Regulating Vehicle Axles Project

This EPC project required Taym Al-Furat’s detailed planning to implement its context-based importing, manufacturing, and integrated engineering solutions, hence was able to deliver a reliable, sustainable result.

To begin with, Taym Al-Furat’s dedicated team and engineers disassembled selected parts, including wheels, bearings, gears, grease insulators, and rotation axles. Then, chosen parts and supplies were imported from the USA to ensure premium quality.

Before initiating the reassembling process, rigorous surface monitoring and axle inspections were carried out. Finally, Taym Al-Furat adopted a modern technique for reassembling parts. It involved continuous welding with simultaneous rotation based on accurate geometric equations, all while protecting parts from potential damage caused by high temperatures or mismatching alloys.

Bullet Detection System Project for Criminal Evidence Institutes and Iraqi Police College In Baghdad

Serving the security sector in Iraq, Taym Al-Furat put its expertise to use in developing a tech-based bullet detection system. The Police College in Baghdad described the required system, and we tailored, based on our EPC solutions, an initial model. After putting it to the test, the system showed high accuracy, and we accordingly developed it to fulfill our client’s needs.

Driven by the system’s success, Taym Al-Furat was asked to produce 11 additional systems and put them to use in forensic laboratories and all Iraqi provinces, making it once again one of our successful EPC projects in Iraq.
